Medical Knowledge of Ayurveda transmission begins from Gods to Sages and then over the period finally to human physicians? In all the institutions and collection texts of Ayurveda, Brahma is said to be the first treatise of Ayurveda. Brahma first preached Ayurveda to Daksha Prajapati and Bhaskar, both Ashwini Kumaras also learned Ayurveda from Brahma. According to the texts of Charak Samhita Ayurveda, Indra has received knowledge of Ayurveda from both Ashwini Kumaras.
The Ayurvedic medical texts are dating back several thousands of years. Even though it is developed in ancient times still popular & widely practiced in modern times. The mainly 3 principles of texts on Ayurveda and they are the Charaka Samhita, the Sushruta Samhita, and the Bhela Samhita. Over the period these texts were also translated into the various languages.
In the 5th Century, it was translated into the Chinese language. During the 8th century, Arabic and Persian people got the translation of these valuable texts. During 12th Century translation of Ayurveda, texts reached Europe. When British physicians came to India to observe Ayurvedic practices performed using native methods, they spread this knowledge to British people. In 1815 Joseph Constantine Carpue studied plastic surgery methods in India and perform the first major rhinoplasty surgery by Indian method in the western world. During British rule, Ayurveda was neglected by these rulers to favor their modern medicine.
Indian people again focused on their traditional medical systems after Indian independence from British rule.
They are Vata or Wind, Pitta or Fire, and Kapha or Earth, these Tri doshas are mainly responsible for the response or behavior of our mind and body. These 3 elements have different effects according to their balanced and imbalance expression on our behavior and body.
Dominating Vata means we will be thin, energetic, light, changeable and enthusiastic. Due to Predominating Pitta our nature tend to be intelligent, goal oriented and we will be motivated towards life. If Kapha prevails than our behavior will be very easy going.
The human being who has Imbalance Vata they experience anxiety, constipation, dry skin, and difficulty focusing. When Pitta is an imbalance the human being experiences irritable behavior, an inflammatory condition, and suffering from indigestion. Similarly, if Kapha is imbalance a human being suffers from weight gain, sluggishness and sinus congestion.
